Cherry blossoms give birth to lovely pinky sneakers

Are you still missing cherry blossoms in full bloom after falling? Here’s a way you could remain the thought on your daily life. Japanese major shoes brand, Onitsuka Tiger, releases beautiful pinky sneakers dyed by natural cherry blossoms with a traditional process called sakurazome.

Sakurazome is a dyeing technique passed down from ancient times in Japan

Craftspeople from maito design works, a Japanese company that produces kusaki-zome scarves and knitwear under the MAITO brand name, apparently hand-dye the leather that’s used to make the sneakers. They are very particular about not using any chemical or artificial dyes in the making of their shoes.

There’re two versions named MEXICO 66 and TIGER ALLY which cost ¥19,000($177) each, and international visitors can receive special discounts at Onitsuka Tiger retail locations in Japan.

Even when ending spring, these sneakers should remain the cuteness to attract people on the streets. How about thinking to purchase as an exclusive gift for your precious person? Visit Onitsuka Tiger Magazine to get further information.
